Jessica Swisher BIO

A native of Ritchie County, West Virginia, Ms. Swisher is a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of Alderson Broaddus College earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance. She continued her studies at West Virginia University through a joint degree program, earning a Master in Business Administration in 2008 and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2009.

With an interest in property law, Ms. Swisher began practicing oil and gas law immediately upon graduating law school. She has reviewed and certified thousands of mineral titles covering lands in many of the counties of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, ranging in complexity from fee ownership to heirships with over a hundred owners, along with interpreting mineral severances regarding executive and nonexecutive mineral interests. She has organized and led projects for large producers in the Appalachian Basin. She is licensed to practice law in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
